The Big Grill Festival

On Friday 16th August the Culinary Food Group headed along to this years Big Grill Festival in Herbert Park, Dublin. It is one of our favourite events of the foodie calendar and is Europe’s largest barbecue festival with 20,000 people visiting. Event’s like these are a great opportunity for our team to see what’s popular, what’s trending and gain some insight and inspiration.

The festival runs over four days with some great chefs and barbecue names from all over the world! With over 20 restaurants and chefs, there is a huge variety of dishes to choose from!

The rule of the festival is that all food must be cooked over live fire – no electric or gas can be used.

There was a considerate focus on meat for this festival – it’s barbecue after all, however there were also some deliciously tasty veggie and vegan options too!

Some great flavours and combinations on the menus bringing really great dishes to the food scene in Dublin for the weekend!

We didn’t get to try everything but here’s some of our favourites….
